Desk Organization

As much as I would love to show you the entire desk, because I LOVE our desk!! We got it off of craigslist (of course) for about $100 less then it retails for at Ikea. The whole picture is still "In Progress" (and a bit messy!). So we will just stay away from that for a bit. But while working on the whole picture we saw this awesome inspiration pic on Pinterest, Found Here.

We just loved the idea so we just had to put the pieces together!

All you need for this awesome project is...

-4 cans
(I used two from canned beans and two from canned pumpkin, you can see the subtle difference in the ribs on the cans)
-White Paint
(we had some primer around so I used that)
-Colored Paint
(your choice of course, I just used eggshell interior paint)
-Painters Tape
-A Towel bar = $5.57
(the one we used was found HERE, but I also saw one at Ikea that would work)
-"S" hooks = about $1.50
(we bought ours at Lowe's in the nail & screw aisle. You can buy them individually or in sets of three. The size we used for this bar were .177 x 1 1/2 inch)

We only spent $7.07 on this project!!!

This project is almost too easy! Paint the cans white, then once they are covered nicely tape off about 1.5 inches from the bottom and paint the bottom your choice of colors. We used a 1/4 drill bit to drill the hole and then just put all your pieces together and you are done! We did have to touch up the paint on the cans but I just took a small brush and carefully went around the color.

Happy Organizing!
